However, there is much more to Pamplona than this legendary festival alone. The town boasts beautiful architecture, fascinating museums and a wide selection of tapas bars and restaurants offering the best of Spain’s culinary delights. This incredible destination can be reached in just under two hours when driving from Bilbao.
La Rioja: Situated less than a two-hour drive from Bilbao, the Rioja wine region borders Southern Navarra, Castilla y León and the Basque country. With stunning scenery, prehistoric archaeological findings, medieval towns and fine Riojan manor houses, there is much more to this idyllic location than wineries.
