Staff were helpful in finding a boot shelf - something which is all too often lacking. Given security issues and the invrease in thefts from cars, it would seem sensible that boot shelves are supplied in all cars that need them in order to hide what is in the boot.

I was not happy with the first car offered and it was no problem and changed to a suitable car. Great staff despite the fact that they were so busy as it was Bastille Day.The long wait in line but this was due to Bastille day

Picking up was very easy and fast (Marseille Airport).Do not drop the car off on the Caroussel du Louvre. Is almost impossible to find the spot.

The car was dented and had scratches all over it. The gas station attendant said the back tires were unsafe due to tred ware.

Lady I dealt with at hertz desk was excellent, I was offered an upgrade which I accepted as there were 3 adults plus hand luggage & also upgraded the insurance cover.
She spoke fluent English also, and advised on best routes to take & fuel purchase and gave us her direct tel number in case we needed anything further. Excellent customer service.Nothing to report

Overall efficiency of serviceI think the car i chose was not very well suited to the hilly and winding roads of places we visited. It tended to lose power very easily and had to do constant gear changes.
The second thing i would have liked more assistance with was the application for the gold card.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Car was OK, but we wanted something small as we didn't need it much.No A/C in the car in Provence! Glad it wasn't summer time or we would've taken the car back. Nevertheless will ensure the car has A/C before driving off with it.
