Our team compare all the big car hire companies (including Thrifty, Hertz, Avis, and Europcar), as well as local firms like Noleggiare, Locauto and Sicily By Car, to bring you exclusive car hire deals. You will often see cars with an additional driver, a GPS or Collision Damage Waiver with zero excess included in the price.
To give you peace of mind that you’re hiring from a trusted company, we ask customers to rate and review their overall rental experience — giving you honest, impartial advice which you can read before you commit to anything.
In Sardinia and mainland Italy, most car hire companies use one of two fuel policies: the full-to-full fuel policy, or a pre-purchase policy where you are refunded for any fuel left in the tank once the rental is over.
A full-to-full policy is one we recommend if you don’t wish to purchase fuel upfront but don’t mind finding a petrol station to refill before the end of the rental. If the car isn’t dropped off with a full tank of fuel you will be charged to refill it at a premium price.
A pre-purchase policy (with refund) is recommended if you don’t mind paying upfront for fuel and don’t want the hassle of finding a petrol station close to the drop off location.
