Why rent a car in Valencia with Rentalcars.com?

Here at Rentalcars.com, we deal with a wide range of national and international car hire brands in Valencia — giving you access to exclusive deals and, in most cases, the cheapest prices. Some of the rental companies we deal with in Valencia include Hertz, Europcar and Centauro. Using the simple search form, you can quickly compare prices across a great choice of cars (including convertibles, estates and 9-seater cars); then use the handy filters on the results page to find the car that best suits your needs. Whether you want to pick up a car at the train station or one of the downtown locations, search Rentalcars.com next time you’re looking for cheap car hire in Valencia.

Top Tips

  • When looking for somewhere to park in Valencia, avoid yellow and red zones (if you park in these zones, you risk getting a ticket or having your vehicle towed). You must park in a blue zone, which indicates you can park for a designated amount of time.
  • Make sure your hire car has air conditioning to keep you comfortable in the Spanish heat.
  • Book your car hire well in advance — particularly if you’re visiting in the summer months when demand is high.

Which companies offer best value in Valencia?

Some national brands like Goldcar offer cars with a free additional driver — so you might want to look for deals like this if you’re looking to split the driving with someone else. However, we know there’s more to good value than freebies; you want to be sure the company is one you can trust. To give you an insight into how each company compares in terms of customer satisfaction, we show ratings and reviews left by previous customers next to each car.

If you’re looking for car hire with no hidden fuel charges, book a car with a full-to-full fuel policy (there are plenty of cars with this policy in Valencia). As long as you top up the tank just before you drop the car off, you won’t pay any extra fuel fees.

Day trips from Valencia

Dénia: Just over an hour’s drive from Valencia, the delightful town of Dénia is steeped in history. Boasting ancient city walls, Dénia is overlooked by a castle which was built by the Arabs in the 11th century. Spend time exploring the town’s café-lined streets, then enjoy a leisurely stroll around the attractive harbour.

Jávea: The coastal town of Jávea is about an hour and 20 minutes from Valencia by car, on the north-eastern corner of the Costa Blanca. If you want to relax and unwind, visit the Arenal area of the town — where you will find beautiful sandy beaches backed by a promenade. Along the promenade are plenty of restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat. If you like fish and seafood, head to the port area where restaurants serve up the catch of the day. The town of Jávea itself is rich in history; San Bartolemé church is a fine example of Gothic architecture, while the Soler Blasco Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum will take you on a journey through Iberian history.

Buñol: Home of La Tomatina (Spain’s iconic tomato-based food fight), the town of Buñol is just half an hour from Valencia. If you want to experience the madness of La Tomatina for yourself, you will need to time your visit well — the festival is held on the last Wednesday of August each year. If you’re not there for the festival, be sure to visit Buñol’s castle and take a look at the traditional, white-washed buildings. The town has plenty of authentic Spanish charm to offer, regardless of when you visit.
