We were initially allocated a car, loaded it with baggage but on exiting the lot were advised the road license was about to expire. Had to go back for a replacement. Also the counter staff were very very pushy about upgrading vehicle, additional insurance, GPS, Toll box etc.

Timeliness of pick up, smooth straightforward and timely procedure. Clean car.
I had to pay for easy pass for the whole trip, knowing that I only used it for one day. I was half an hour late for drop off and they charged me a whole additional day

Friendly helpful staff, quick service
The fact that the start stop button disappeared into the dashboard as we started the car to park it at the hotel. Good job we were only 15 miles away as we had to return it to change it. Good job they had anot her one.

Helpful staff.
The "return the car" function on the sat-nav kept us driving around Boston for nearly and hour - finally had to ask directions!

I left my computer bag in another car which I picked earlier but did not take it when I decided to switched to another car. The bag was returned to the Dollar counter which I managed to collect it back without any issue.
I rented a machine for the auto toll which was expensive for my 3 days rental.

The sat nav that we booked kept losing gps signal. The accuracy of the unit was poor, especially in urban areas. We had often gone past the junction before the sat nav gave directions. It was really frustrating.

Was very dusty inside with crumbs on centre trim. None of the car functions worked i.e. Fuel computer etc.

We were told that we need to hire the ezpass because some tolls didn't accept cash around Boston. We had to get an upgrade because the car and similar we rent were not the same range (Ford focus to a Nissan micra). After the upgrade to a full size, there were 4 cars available, they hadn't been cleaned or they had the maintenance light on.

Staff very friendly and helpful.
I was given a Yaris rather than the Focus I was expected. By then it was too late to complain. Also very tiered so just wanted to the hotel.

Staff member was friendly and car was in lovely condition.
The after hour drop off instructions were slightly Confusing and maybe something in writing would have helped as the initial instructions were verbal and after time away people tend to forget things they were told days before.

In the end the Dodge was very comfortable. Drop off at JFK was a breeze.
In Boston long lines to pick up the car. We were given a car with uncomfortable seats. We asked to switch and we given a Kia which is NOT what we ordered. When we wanted to switch back another family was already loading their luggage into the car! Were told that only Kia was available but after waiting for the manager a Dodge appeared. So lies.

Staff responded immediatly at pick up on outside cleanliness and drove the car through the car wash.
car came without a Navigation System. We booked it extra at pick up. renting costs on device for prepaid toll high compared to benefit. I would not rent such a System next time.

No high pressure selling of the insurance add ons. I could pick my own car from their available cars in my class.
Return area is a bit dark especially if you making sure you have not left anything in the car.

The car was same size but a crappy brand. Disliked that. If I rent a Jeep I want a Jeep and not some Nissan.

Good location for Dollar, and staff good.
Office too small. Hertz next door is much bigger, with more staff. There was no mention of marks on the rear passenger door when we took the car and we failed to notice them until the next daylight. Upon returning the car I explained and showed photos and all as considered ok. I believe this should have been pointed out in the first instance.

Car hire at Boston Logan Airport was well signposted and easy to find both for pick up and return, shuttle bus service from and to terminal building was excellent

Counter staff were very courteous and patient in explaining optional extras. And offered to help with my luggage to the car pick-up level. In the end I was very grateful for the fuel purchase option.
