- I did my reservation in booking including a full insurance package with rentalcover.com. Avis asked me to sign a waiver for the potential collision with a $3,900 deposit and to reimburse the car if stolen. Under their pressure, i had to take their insurance and the insurance cost was almost 150% of the initial rental cost….this is just a shame.
