What’s on: Halloween in Florida 2017

While some Halloween celebrations have already started (Magic Kingdoms’) there are many other attractions and events to look forward to.  So if you are heading to Florida between the 25th August and 1st of November you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy one of the many Halloween celebrations taking place.

You'll find family-friendly, teen (13yrs+) and adult Halloween events below so there is something for everyone to take part in this spooky season.
 

Great for families with younger children

SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular

Perfect for families with younger children, SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular has a breadth of activities running on weekends from 23rd September to 29th October which is included in your admission ticket. Events and activities include silly and spooky live shows, colouring activities and trick or treat for sweets and goodies throughout the park.

Magic Kingdoms’ Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Walt Disney World Resort brings a special Halloween event to the Magic Kingdom – starting 25th August and running through until the 1st November on selected dates the ‘happiest haunting on Earth’ invites you to collect sweets and delightful treats as you make way through the park. Fancy dress is permitted so your little ones can dress up as their favourite characters (find out everything you need to know about dress codes here) enjoy the grim grinning ghosts at the park and see your favourite Disney Characters including the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus and watch the Boo-To-You Halloween Parade.

Ticket details: Ticketed event, please ensure you buy your tickets for this event online or at the gate.

LEGOLAND Brick or Treat

The #BuiltForKids Halloween Party returns for selected weekends in October and includes 'spooky, kooky, brick-tacular' activities as well as extended park hours on the Brick or Treat days.  The event is included in general park admission so no extra tickets necessary to meet and greet your LEGO characters, trick-or-treat and watch themed fireworks.

Spooky Empire

The Largest horror convention in the United States lands on 21–27 October and takes place in the Hyatt Regency near Universal Studios in Orlando.  The main event starts in October but if you can’t wait for that then Spooky Days in the Parks Weekend of Wicked Fun is on 22-23 September at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. There will be child-friendly vendors at the event and a special #KidsZone at the event, children aged 10 and under are FREE with a full paying adult.

Ticket details: Ticketed event, price details can be found here, opening hours 5pm on the Friday and 11am on both the Saturday and Sunday.
 

Suitable for teenagers (13+) and adults only

Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

Dubbed America’s premier Halloween event the nine time Golden Ticket Award winning Halloween Horror Nights kicks off on15 September and runs until 4 November. The streets of Universal Studios Florida come alive with terrifying mutants, monsters, and maniacs across nine haunted houses with 5 creature-filled scare zones and two live shows. 

Ticket details: This is a separate ticketed event, so please ensure you buy your tickets in advance and arrive around 5pm to get in at 6pm as queues are expected. Fancy dress is not permitted please check details online.

Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream

Tampa Bay’s No. 1 haunted attraction, scream your way through Busch Gardens’ top thrill rides in the dark, unexpected terrors and creatures lurk around every corner and this year the experience includes new haunted houses and exciting live, interactive entertainment. Running through from the 22 September to the 29 of October on selected nights get ready for some exciting haunts and thrills of this Florida delight.

Ticket and entry details: This is a separate ticketed event and you are advised on the Howl-O-Scream website to buy your tickets in advance for a reduced rate. This event takes place at 5pm and the park is open until 1am on the event nights. Fancy dress is not permitted please check details online.
