Niagara Falls: The breathtaking Niagara Falls can be reached in around an hour and twenty minutes when driving from Toronto. This iconic landmark which straddles the border between the Province of Ontario and the State of New York attracts some 12 million visitors each year, and simply cannot be missed if you are visiting this region.
Niagara-on-the-Lake: Often described as the prettiest town in Ontario, Niagara-on-the-Lake is approximately a 90-minute drive from Toronto. Situated on the banks of Lake Ontario, this immaculately preserved 19th-century village — with its elegant architecture — is at the heart of Ontario’s wine region. Niagara-on-the-Lake is also home to one of North America’s finest cultural attractions, the Shaw Festival (which offers world-class theatre).
Algonquin Provincial Park: With a drive time of around three hours from Toronto, Algonquin Provincial Park may initially seem a little far away. However, traveling to this stunning region is certainly worth the effort. With over 10 hiking trails, this area of natural beauty consists of maple hills, rocky ridges and hundreds of lakes which offer excellent trout fishing (particularly in the month of May).
