I ordered a car with large luggage compartment (Ford Mondeo wagon or similar) but the only choice I got was either VW Touran or Opel Zafira. It was complicated to fit all my luggage

Good space for luggage, good location of the rent services and car park.
When I filled the car to the maximum, it is indicated as there is still space. This caused confusion during drop off.

No hassle or hard sell about additional insurance which I find annoying with other companies! All very smooth.
Cars parked under numbers if they have a hatch back, when opening the rear door can get a scratch from the number sign!

Nobody available to receive car return before 8:00am at Bologna Airport. Had to take photographs to prove condition same as picked up. Also nobody to confirm car returned full.

We had to change the car as the air conditioning was not working. I told one of the staff but he said it was ok just drive round the car park a couple of times and will be ok. But it still did not work so we had to wait another 20 minutes. Not happy.

Lots of scratches & dents on the car which were not marked on the paperwork had to take lots of photo's & mark it ourselves on the paperwork & then return to the collection office for confirmation

Car i was given was an Oper Zafira which was a decent car to drive. Very nice lady at Firefly counter was polite and explained everything.
Bad attitude from Hertz staff at my arrival. Ignored at first and told abruptly to go inside to deal with his colleague because " he was busy". It was a man with a beard, don't know his name. A bit of customer service training will do no harm to him. The Firefly guy inside instead was very nice and polite.

The fuel tank was not full but the staff signed as full without notice to me. I had to make a picture of that and prove it. Very long queues for pick up of the car...

The time I had to wait in the line for rental desk - approx 25 minutes with an infant on my hands. The English of the staff was not very good.

Upgrade and ease of return
1 person serving customers in the terminal. Took way too long to get the car. A huge queue and some very frustrated customers. Price and VFM very good but completely undermined by the long wait to collect the car.

I had to change two cars. Only the third one was OK. First two had technical issues and I had to return them to rental parking.

Ease of pickup and the staff are getting to know me, so feels personal.
Yet again [2 out of 3 times] I have picked up the car and the fuel gauge has dropped significantly from the full level within 5 miles. A couple of pics showing this were taken of the fuel gauge and mileage at the time, although a little blurry, and they are available to view. May submit a separate complaint to this

Crazy amount of time to wait to pick up the car - over one hour, the member of staff was very helpful just a shame she was the only person working on the counter. More staff are required to reduce waiting times. Also, there was damage on the car that hadn't been recorded on the initial form.
