car was clean
even though we made the booking and paid the entire hire fee almost 4 montha in advance we only received a KIA-Sportage instead of at least the TOYOTA RAV4. In fact we would have expected that based and the duration of the hire of over 5 weeks that HERTZ would have seen fit to give us an upgrade car, for excample TOYOTA Kluger or similar. The desk Manager in Brisbane was not very customer friendly (the word rude wpould spring to mind) and was not forthcomiing what car was available. Instead one had the Impression that he was surprised when we came and showed our pre-paid voucher.
The desk Manager also pressed us somewhat to accept a "Maximum Insurance Cover" for additional AUD 336,-, Location Fee of AUD 235,- Administration Recovery Fee of AUD 43,- plus associated GST.We had thought, that at least part of These fees were already included when we made and paid the online booking on August 2013.
We declined the offer to hire a GPS and instead bought one in a electronic store for a mere AUD 90,-.
When taking over the car in Brisbane we noted some damages which were not stated in the hand-over-protocol, so we had to as the HERTZ parking attendent to note the damages down and sign them. However, when returning the car in Perth at 10:00 AM there was absolutely not a single Person to receive the car and the HERTZ Counter was also not manned - a note just said that we should drop the keys in a box.
Frankly, we have received far better Service from HERTZ in Malloca, Copenhagen and other places. Under the circumstance the entire HERTZ Service in Australias - at least as far as we were treated - can only receive the mark POOR and we would not recommend their Services to friends.
